What you confirm is what gets signed

A compromised computer can rewrite anything you see on a monitor — a clipboard address, a fee field, a wallet extension. It cannot rewrite the small screen of a hardware wallet that holds no network connection at all.

  1. Prepare in Suite. Choose the account, paste the destination and set the fee.
  2. Read on the device. The wallet shows the recipient and amount from the raw transaction itself.
  3. Approve physically. The signed transaction returns to Suite and broadcasts. Keys stayed put.

Anyone who asks for your recovery phrase in a chat, email or comment is attacking you. No legitimate support channel ever needs it.

Is Trezor Suite free?

The application is free for device owners — there is no subscription simply to hold your own coins. Optional third-party buy, sell and exchange partners charge their own fees inside Suite.

Do my keys ever leave the device?

Never. Keys and the recovery phrase are generated and stored in the hardware wallet. Suite reads public blockchain data to show balances and asks the device to sign each transaction separately.

Which version should I pick?

Start with the desktop app when you can — it updates independently and supports local backends and Tor settings. The web version is convenient on a machine where you cannot install software.

What if I lose the device?

Your coins live on the blockchain, not in the device. Restore the wallet on a replacement device using the recovery phrase you wrote down. Without that phrase, nothing can be recovered — by you or anyone else.

Can Suite connect to my own node?

Yes. Point Suite at your own Bitcoin backend so your balances and addresses are never requested from a third-party server, and switch rules on or off per coin.
